1. Initial Conversation
To begin a commission, please send me a message through the contact form. In your message, please include what kind of piece you're interested in: a portrait, a landscape, a still life, or something more personal.
The inquiry form will request the following:
The subject and size you're envisioning
Whether you’re interested in a pencil drawing or an oil painting
Your location (for shipping estimates)
A deadline, if there is one
Any reference photos or ideas
Each commission is priced individually based on size, medium, and complexity. Beginning with $150 for an 8”x10” pencil portrait from a photo. I’m happy to answer questions about pricing, the process, or anything else you’d like to discuss.
2. Creating the Artwork
Once we’ve agreed on the details, I begin work on your piece. For some commissions, I may take a start with a sketch or study. For most portraits or simpler compositions, I begin directly with the final piece.
Throughout the process, I work with care and intention. I typically don’t send progress photos unless there’s something I’d like to confirm with you. When the artwork is finished, I’ll send images for your review. Small adjustments can often be made at this stage, if needed.
3. Delivery
Finished work is carefully packaged and shipped. I will provide shipping options and estimates once your piece is complete. For smaller size pieces we can estimate shipping cost from the beginning.
